Mathcast Rubrics

Coaching Question: Are there rubrics to evaluate student mathcasts?

This month, many teachers have been using Google Drawing and the Screencastify extension to capture student thinking about math. The results have been amazing!

Allowing students to access a rubric in advance has proven to be extremely beneficial. Rubrics allow students to know exactly what is expected of them while completing assignments. They also allow teachers to grade students while keeping several learning objectives in mind.

Here is an example of a standard mathcast rubric that I created. Feel free to “Make a Copy” and edit the document. Shortly, I will be uploading a rubric with Common Core Standards and Massachusetts Technology Standards attached at each grade level as well.
